Biography

Tequila Masque (TM) were formed in a suburb of Glasgow in the early 1980’s.

Representing a collaboration of friends who all shared a love of music, the early line-up saw Clydey, Ped and Chopps joined by Angus (on guitar) and Ian (on drums). However this early line-up was to change…

Although Clydey wrote and recorded the band’s keyboard lines the live line-up would see others play keyboards to enable Clydey to front the act. Hence over the years the band was to see a series of stand-in keyboard players… however it was the almost ‘Spinal Tap’-esque churn of drummers that was to characterize the band until Flip was found to complete the line-up.

Winning a battle of the bands competition, TM won the opportunity to tour Denmark in 1989 - participating in an international music festival being held in Ballerup, near Copenhagen. However the 2000-plus strong crowds of the Danish festival marquees were to be among the final audiences to see TM perform before the band broke-up.

Some fifteen years later TM were to take to the stage again for an impromptu performance of a couple of numbers at Ped’s wedding reception - which was to act as the catalyst that resulted in the band reforming for ‘TM2010' - a re-union gig to be held the night before Chopps’ wedding day in the Summer of 2010!

Now, following a series of gigs across the country the band are recording their next EP.
